Sports at schools for the Deaf DUE Wed., Sept. 24, 2008
Deaf students at schools for the Deaf all over the United States are involved in sports. They play soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, track, etc. Most schools for the Deaf play against other schools for the Deaf. Do you feel that sports programs at schools are important? Do you feel that SSSD should play against other schools for the Deaf? How would you feel if our sports program was dropped or if all of the games against other schools for the Deaf were cancelled? Answer the questions and explain your thoughts.

It will be nice to have deaf students to join the sports, because some students will know person from small world. I will probaly join Basketball next years to make me see anyone from other school that who i known. I know that sports is very important for your future, what if some pro sports come and visit person that very well and best player, then Pro Coach will pick faster. If deaf were cancelled, I will mad and kick the wall instead kick ball or other that will hurts people and suing me!

I feel comfortable with involved deaf sport because we can against to deaf school in other state. We can travel for games sport in states for deaf school. We like to meet new deaf people in other states for sport. The deaf people will understand for how learn in sport than hearing because we will not understand and hard time with hearing. We like to understand and fun with deaf people. The sport will have fun with deaf people! It is social with deaf make fun and new friends.
Also, sport SSSD is important because SSSD want to see a good improve teams and social time. And, sport will be become good strong and help to how learn from sport. The student will like to join play in sport like a basketball, volleyball, football, and soccer. We need more for teams in sport.

I involved in sports are volleyball, soccer, and basketball. I would love to against to deaf school for in the sports. I like to deaf soicals in other states, who am I? I like new deaf friends in other states. I desire travel to other states for deaf sports against other states. Example: california, Teaxas, and many different of states. Only we against in local of states. It doesn't matter against to hearing sports or deaf sports are equal.
Many time we against sports in hearing sports for make more challage it. If no deaf sports program, we will sad and feel loss. The deaf sports are can play! Our spirit is power make spread to win! The deaf sports have very power of spirit!!!
If the deaf sports not have program then we won't be to play for sports. If someone join to sports become rookies and learning about experience for sports.

OF COURSE!!! I love deaf people join in sports. Two years ago, I join football and basketball in North Carolina that my first time. Then it is practice everyday of course because increase speed, power, muscle and etc for sports. I feel funny deaf people can join sports any school and I can’t believe that I really didn’t know that deaf school have a sports wow. Next time, we against other team that deaf team and I dint know that and i thought only public team but sometime we against deaf and public too. Then I feel not ready for game because that first game that why. I was clumsy while football and I was embarrassed. I surprise for deaf can communication asl on team wow. I really didn’t know that and I’m shocked it that I thought it not allowed talk whiles the game that weird. Then I feel happy I join deaf sports and I love it!!! When if game is cancelled today then we to do? Deaf person for coach said just do it for more practice and I’m surprise it and I think should drop for practice it but he want to increase physical and speed etc.
Three years ago, I was public school in pa and I live Wilkes Barre. I was join for football then practice. The coach tells me what I do? I really don’t know what I do for football because I’m deaf that why. The coach taken interpreter for me. Then interpreter explain to me how to play for football and I learned it. Next week, we went to the game for football. then i was stand on line while games. 4 quarter then I switch player then I was play but it is few sec that it like 10 or 15 sec that why. I was little pissed and I just accept it and I’m respect to coach. Next week, we went to second game then I was stand on line again and I’m not play football and I’m boring nothing. The coach won’t let me play football because I’m deaf that why and I really pissed off because I’m not play all the days!!! Then I quit for football that crazy and I’m not happy public school..

I feel that sports programs are very important for me and for y'all because it's help us to exercise, enjoys, fun, and challenge. I loves sports.
My opinion is yes for SSSD should against to others school deaf and hearing too. If deaf sports programs are canelled or drop, I would mad for that and feel lose for small world. Sports help us for social deaf because deaf are small world than hearing. To play and challenge!

Of course the sports are important. without sports who will know how to play in the future or even learn to excersise. its good for the deaf school to be against other schools. To have a nice challenge and learn their mistakes, or abilities. it would be best, for schools to do sport activities. It could help the people who dont excercise to workout in be in good health. Plus it will tell them that they can do something to make them selves proud.
Yeah I think schools have sports are important because some students don't know how to play sports. So the coach can teach them how to play. I like playing sports because it's fun. We all need is fun. Also while we doing any sports is healthy and good excerise for students.
Well I think it's good if deaf school against with other deaf school becuase it's easy for us to communicate each together. Also when we meeting other students from other school and we can become friends. More friends is good because if we don't see other new deaf people and we will be bored. Deaf people can against hearing people because we can have fun together. And we can prove them that deaf people can play sports.
I would feel horrible if sports progam was dropped off for deaf people. If we don't have any sports programs and we will feel unfair with hearing people. We should be equal and fair together. If this thing really happen I would agrue with the people who dropped the sports program. We need sports program to be on because we can play sports too!

Oh, yeah! Only I loved sports for football and baseball! Okay, um... I don't know happen other schools for for the Deaf were "cancelled?" That like other coach"s" sick, road closed, or huge snow... Our school SSSD have soccer, volleyball, and basketball, but not have football and baseball, so I want sports for football and baseball maybe basketball too. Okay, why coach will make that deaf were cancelled? Not need important who some coach make game were cancelled? Okay, I will half mad and my paintball gun will shoot to who make game cancelled!!! Hahaha.... That's hurt...
