Captioned movies at the theater DUE Wed., Oct. 22, 2008
Deaf people enjoy watching movies as much as hearing people! There are no captioned movies offered in the Scranton area. Do you think we should request that local movie theaters offer captioned movies? Why is it important that Deaf people have access to captioned movies? Explain your thoughts and opinions.We will write a letter to the local theaters and ask them to offer captioned movies.We will write a letter to the local theater requesting that they offer captioned movies.

I think the theaters should have captions on it. Because deaf people can't understand what in the movie were saying. So we fell not fair because hearing people can understands what they're saying but we don't. I don'tunderstand this. Before I remember in one theater have captions on it but not now. Why did it happen?
It could be fair for hearing people if there no volume. So they can't hear. It's not fair for them too.
I thought the people who work in theater should put captions with volume. So we can feel fair now even if they did it.
I agreed with that topic. I am very enjoys with watch movies. I always upset when there was no captioned on the movie theater.
I think it is very important to us and other people because the captioned could help people for good at grammar, not understand what they say and should add caption then help deaf, hard-hearing, or hearing understand what they say, and some people love to read the captioned. lucky many of dvds and VCR had captioned.
It is important for deaf people why? because deaf people didnt understand what they said on movies that why. That not fair for public people can heard what they said for movies. I wish Obama can support for deaf people need use caption on movies. Because public can heard for movies and deaf people try tap to the pubic people " what movies said?" the public cant explain to deaf people about it that " not fair". i always tap to my family and i said what thier said??? then they explain to me but i cant see it that dark place that why. when movies after we left of the movies then my family expalin to me about movies. I very wish caption use the movies.

I love to watch movies at home or theater or anywhere. If no closed caption on theater, I won't go. I can't without closed caption for sure I will proff and never understand what people say on theater. I require that theater have closed caption. I want that someone can put any closed caption in scranton area. How feeling that hearing people couldn't hear on the voice movie.
I think that we SHOULD request the movie theaters to have captions in movies. It's easier for Deaf people to have access in movies. Suppose if someone came up to you and said "Hey did you watch Batman ?" You said "Yeah I did" And they say back "Well you know when Joker said 'Why so serious ?' How are you going to know what they said ? You don't cause you didn't have 'access' to watch that movie clearly. I know you can see the animations BUT can you understand what they are doing ? No, some of you can't. It's important for Deaf people to have access to captioned movies. How would Hearing people feel if the movie theaters didn't have sound for you to hear, Neither did they have captions ? You would be pretty aggrivated. Won't you ? So it should be knowned to the world and movie theaters that Deaf people, Hearing people, Blind people, Every person with a disability or not, TO have access to everything. They should have cations in EVERY MOVIE SHOWN!!!!! If the movie theater can afford to have movie tapes, they can afford captioned movies. That's why Movie theaters should have captions for the Deaf.

Second (agree), I want all theater must put caption on for deaf people and let them enjoy watchin movie theater. I notice some people go to movie theater when a new movie comin out and some deaf people want to see movie theater. I will go to movie theater only if they set up caption on the movie theater then I will enjoy and watch movie when the movie coming out. I bet that many people will make contact for suggets all movie theater to set up then I am sure many deaf people will sign the contact! I will sign contact and hope that all movie theater approve. Who agree with me!

Of course, deaf people are enjoy watch movies. I wish it need put on captioned in movies, because of deaf people. If deaf people want to watch movies then must put on caption, because they need to know what they said or what happen in movies? If no put on caption, then deaf people will dont understand about what happen or what they said. And, also, hearing people can hear they said in movies, and deaf people can see caption they said in movies. That's fair, because they should fair together. Because hearing people can watch T.V have there caption in their home. It should fair for in theater movies put on caption.

I see movies many times every, but nothing captioned movies. Only have when wait long get any other dvds have captioned movies... Why, hearing people just see nothing captions movies! But, all deaf people see movie not have captions. We wait get new dvds for when finish movies then get new dvds... I hate wait long get new dvds for it have captions, you know... Sigh. Maybe, best video games have captions than movies!!!
